My Hero Academia watch order
Watch the eight seasons in order and add each movie at a natural break: Two Heroes after season 2, World Heroes' Mission after episode 104, Heroes Rising after season 5, and You're Next after episode 143, early in season 7. Finish with the epilogue special. The movies are optional side stories.
The TV series runs 170 episodes from 2016 to 2025. The "ours" column uses the continuous numbering from our My Hero Academia filler list; streaming apps restart at 1 each season.

My Hero Academia movies in order
There are four films. None of them is needed for the TV plot: they're original side stories, so the placements below are about avoiding spoilers, not about missing story.
| Film | Released in Japan | Watch it |
|---|---|---|
| Two Heroes | August 3, 2018 | After episode 38 (end of season 2) |
| Heroes Rising | December 20, 2019 | After episode 113 (end of season 5) |
| World Heroes' Mission | August 6, 2021 | After episode 104 (season 5, episode 16) |
| You're Next | August 2, 2024 | After episode 143 (season 7, episode 5) |
That's release order. Our viewing order swaps the middle two, so in story order it's Two Heroes, World Heroes' Mission, Heroes Rising, then You're Next.
- Two Heroes: Set during the summer break, between the final exams and the training camp that opens season 3. Deku goes with All Might to visit an old friend on I-Island, a moving artificial island, when villains attack it.
- Heroes Rising: Class 1-A has to protect the people of Nabu Island from a villain with an extraordinary Quirk. Parts of its story were once planned as an ending for the manga. This is the one guides disagree on: many put it after season 4, its release order. It refers to events the anime only reaches in season 5, so we place it after episode 113. If you prefer release order, watch it after season 4; you'll just meet a few things early.
- World Heroes' Mission: Set during the Endeavor Agency arc. Deku and his classmates join pro heroes around the world to stop a terrorist plan. Episode 104 is an anime-only prologue to the film, with a teaser after the credits.
- You're Next: Released while season 7 was airing. Its Wikipedia article places it after the U.A. Traitor arc, which ends at our episode 143, so watch it there, before the final war begins. Deku faces Dark Might, a villain who imitates All Might.
Is there filler to skip?
Very little: 3 of 170 episodes (1.8%). They're 32, 64 and 104. Keep 104 if you plan to watch World Heroes' Mission, because it sets up the film. Episode 32 is a light check-in on the classmates and is one of our filler picks.
Recap specials released between seasons aren't part of the numbered episodes, so they aren't in our list. Skip them unless you need a refresher.
Specials and spin-offs
- No. 170+1 "More" aired in May 2026. It adapts manga chapter 431, the epilogue set eight years after the war, so watch it after episode 170.
- I Am a Hero Too is a short of about six minutes about Eri, released in August 2026. It's an extra, not a missing episode.
- My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is a separate spin-off series set earlier in the same world, with its own cast. It started in April 2025 and had a second season in early 2026. You can watch it any time after the main series.
